P ramorum update and water quality on harvesting sites

Cumbria Woodlands, United Utilities and the Forestry Commission are running a short event which focuses on the following themes:
• P ramorum, the current position in Cumbria.
• Pollution control on harvesting sites.
• Sediment and water quality on harvesting sites.
The course is aimed at those working at a practical level in forestry. Food will be available from 15.30 with the presentations starting at 16.00. The afternoon will be a mix of two indoor sessions and a site visit. We will be running a longer, more detailed session in April or May which will be more focused at the agent, owner, manager looking at examples of pollution plans and the under pinning UK Forestry Standard.
