As part of our ongoing rainforest project, we have a workshop coming up in December looking at LIDAR and wood pasture.
This workshop is free and aims to give attendees an understanding of the application of LIDAR data when mapping trees and wood pasture. Through a short workshop, attendees will begin to understand how to use LIDAR data in QGIS and apply this to their own work.
The training is being delivered by Luke Steer BSc.(Hons), Dip.Arb.(RFS), F.Arbor.A. MICFor.
Luke Steer has been working and studying within the field of arboriculture since 1984. Since March 2006 Luke has been working as an arboricultural consultant for his company, Treescapes Consultancy Ltd.
Attendees will need to have at least some experience using QGIS, be able to bring a laptop, and will need to download some data (provided) before the event.
