The Cumbria Woodlands Forest Festival returns to the Westmorland County Show for the 3rd year!
This year the show is on the 10th and 11th of September, and once again we have a full line-up of all things trees, woodland and forestry!
Cumbria Woodlands
Cumbria Woodlands will be on hand, offering free woodland advice and information. Come to our stand to chat to an associate and find out more about our woodlands in Cumbria and specifically our temperate rainforest.
Raise Cumbria
Cumbria Community Forest will be at the festival for the first day. Come and talk to a member of staff about woodland creation opportunities in West and North Cumbria.
People Plant Trees
Plant a tree with People Plant Trees! People Plant Trees are dedicated forestry experts who believe that planting a tree is a small action with a huge impact.
Treeclear UK
Treeclear offers a bespoke low ground pressure forestry and peatland restoration services to private and commercial clients, trusts and government organisations throughout the UK. Treeclear UK uses specialist equipment including low ground pressure excavators and tracked carriers equipped with a range of attachments, enabling us to work across many environments including wetlands, peat bogs, moorland, heathland and woodlands carrying out forestry and peatland based activities. Treeclear are dedicated to supporting biodiversity and fragile ecosystems working with clients to restore, enhance and maintain their woodlands, wetlands, and peatlands.
Forestry Commission
The Forestry Commission is the government department responsible for protecting, expanding and promoting the sustainable management of woodlands.
Greensmith Carving
Greensmith Carving will be creating sculptures using chainsaws and additionally will be running a paint your own and willow weaving workshops run by a local artist, which will be very suitable for families. The workshops are free for the public. There will also be speed carving demonstrations at 11am and 2pm each day.
The Coppice Co-op
The Coppice Co-op will be bringing a range of traditional woodland heritage craft demonstrations. Come and have a chat and discover what products and services they offer, from woodland management to garden gates.
Woodmizer
Woodmizer are milling throughout the festival with their LT70 mobile mill. Come and see logs turned into useful timber
Lumber Lounge Axe Throwing
The Lumber Lounge will be offering free axe-throwing both days! Come and test your skill.
UK Loggers
Demonstrations will be taking place in the Forest Festival arena throughout the day on Wednesday and Thursday.
