We are pleased to share that Cumbria Woodlands has received £19,923 from the National Lottery Community Fund!
This funding comes at an exciting time for us as Cumbria Woodlands evolves into its new CIC status, building on over 30 years of positive impact on the woods, trees and people of Cumbria.
This money will be used to support this transitional period and will enable the delivery of core Cumbria Woodlands activities such as events, engagement, and networking opportunities. This will include connecting and planning with key partners, speaking at events, hosting woodland walks and site visits. In addition, we will once again be able to host the Forest Festival at the Westmorland County Show in September for the 4th year running!
These activities will help connect people and the community with woodlands, promote sustainable management of woodland, and strengthen partnerships across the sector.
A big thank you to the National Lottery Community Fund, and keep a lookout for events being announced soon.
